PARIS TOUR '01!

DAY 1 -- SATURDAY, 02/10/2001

DAY 1 OF PARIS TOUR 2001! We fly over The Pond to the City of Lovers.

Hi... I am Sara and this is the story of my ever so short life! My dad got a new job with Siebel Systems and they sent him to Training in Paris France FOR A MONTH! I felt so bad for him that I convinced Mom that we should go with him and be with him so he would not be so lonely!

Here I am in Paris finally! I am sitting in my chair in the Royal Monceau Hotel. {short description of image}

This is the French Windows looking out of our hotel room. Someone knocked on the door and Dad said in English, with a French Accent, "Who iz it?".

There is a big garden with a restaurant. There is also a swimming pool under the restaurant. I plan to go swimming in the morning...

We were practicing our French! Here are words that I have learned: French Toast, French Fries, Baguette, and Metro! {short description of image}

This is the French Police Station along the Seine...

It has rained for many days before we got here (it has been nice and clear since we got here) and the Seine River is filled to almost overflowing...

Here is a picture of the flooded walkways along the Seine. Some of them are open and yet some are like this. The water is several feet deep along some walkways.

Here is dad and I with the Cathedral of Notre Dame behind us on the other side of the Seine.

This is City Hall. They have put up an Ice Scating Rink for this month in front of City Hall!
