(This is the story of my birth. It will be updated by my father from time to time today.)

MOM WITH SWORD IN THE BATH.

In the afternoon the labor got more intense and Kris decided to take a bath and enjoy some bubbles and the jets. Sword, the only male cat in the house, has been by her side since 330am when it all started. He was the one who woke Kris up to tell her that he thought something was wrong. He has followed her around. He hates water and yet he sat right by the tub until she was done!

MOM WITH LIZ THE DOULA!

Relaxing through a contraction... Liz will be with us through the Labor. She is our coach. We are so lucky to have her here with us. Kris is sitting on a Birth Ball. This ball helps give her support and allows her to rock and move during contractions.... Liz is talking to her and giving her visual meditation suggestions while Kris is having a contraction....

CONTRACTION BEGINS

The contractions are 5 minutes apart and are 1 minute in length. Kris describes them as like a leg cramp. They hurt but it is not very hard or unmanageable. You see one in this picture begin. Kris is wrapped in towels because she is getting some cold chills. The chills are normal in the first part of labor...

STAY TUNED!.
