DAY 6 -- Tuesday, 5/18/99

SURFER WALKING BACK FROM BEACH -- ON THE WAY TO SAN DIEGO.
I had always told Kris about the time I flew to San Diego to audition for the Old Globe. I thought it was one of the most beautiful cities that I have ever seen. We both love Mexico. So, we decided to go to San Diego for a day and to Mexico for a day.
Another Surfer walking back from the water.
We finally arrive in San Diego. A 2 hour trip became 4 hours because of traffic and stopping. In San Diego we find this Suspension Bridge. Two neighborhoods are joined with this old bridge that was build in the early 1900's. The Bridge was amazing for the times. There is a valley below that is about 300 ft deep. The two neighborhoods would have to walk several miles around to be able to access eachother without the bridge.
NOW OFF TO MEXICO!
MEXICAN BORDER CROSSING, TIAJUANA, MEXICO!
We checked in to our hotel and then decided to go to Mexico for dinner. You drive 15 miles South from San Diego and you are at the border!
Kris stands on the border... On her left is Mexico! On her right is Los Estados Unidos!
BACK TO THE BORDER!
Ed took this picture and the United States Customs Guards told him that this would be his last picture in the building!!!
We got back to the hotel late and crashed hard. Tomorrow more of San Diego!!!
